Challenges and Opportunities for the New Mexico Agricultural Experiment Station.

The New Mexico Agricultural Experiment Station is located at New Mexico State University. There are Agricultural Science Centers located at 12 off campus sites in addition to main campus research. Base budget funding has only increased for salaries and for new research endeavors. All other funding has remained flat or decreased. Grant funding opportunities take research in directions of regional or national importance. Locally funded Commodity research is limited.
