Where in the World Is That?.

Thomas Housley, Purdue University, Purdue Univ.-Agronomy Dept., 915 West State Street, West Lafayette, IN 47907-2045

Students in a pretest have the opportunity to locate countries in Africa and the Middle East. What countries do they choose in a pretest? How correctly do they locate those countries? Do students tested after 9/11 or the war in Iraq choose different countries? Do they more correctly choose those countries than students tested before 9/11 or the war in Iraq? After study and quizzing do the student's country choices change and are they more correctly locating countries than in the pretest?
