Predictive Model for Solute Diffusivity Coupled to Pore Size Distribution.

Per Moldrup, Torben Olesen, Toshiko Komatsu, and Dennis Rolston.

The solute diffusion coefficient in soil (solute diffusivity) and its dependency on soil water content and soil type controls solute movement and release from immobile water zones in soils. We present a general, predictive model for the solute diffusivity and link it to soil pore size distribution to evaluate the effect of soil type and soil water potential on solute diffusion.
