To evaluate water purification effects on sewage irrigated paddy field, the change of water and soil chemical components were investigated among influent, paddy water and effluent. The nutrient chemical contents of influent was the range of11.8~18.6 of total nitrogen, 1.5¢¦2.8 of total phosphorus and 4.6¢¦15.5 mg µ¤-1 of potassium, which values were highest followed by paddy water and effluent except potassium contents of effluent water. The total nitrogen content of infiltration water by soil depth had tendency to decrease dramatically by soil depth in a tillering rice growth stage whereas the total phosphorus and potassium contents had little difference. The purification effects in effluent water were decreasing of 64.7% of total nitrogen, 76.7% of total phosphorus and 14.3% of potassium. These effects on sewage irrigated paddy field were higher compared with normal level water irrigated paddy fields. The soil contents of organic matter, available phosphate and potassium were higher than normal water irrigated paddy fields such as the change of water quality component.
